TarsisVan Terms of Use
Version: v2.0 · Date: 21 October 2026
These terms govern your use of the TarsisVan app. Please read them carefully: by accepting them you enter into a contract with us. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who we are
TarsisVan is provided by a self-employed professional. Contact for any matter, including authorities and users for the purposes of the Digital Services Act: [email protected]. We answer in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
2. Who can use it
The app is for people aged 18 or over. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind it.
You do not need to sign up to start: the app creates an anonymous account on your phone. To keep it when you change phones, you can secure it with your email (using a code) or by linking Google or Apple. You are responsible for what is done with your account and for not sharing access codes.
3. What the app does and does not do
TarsisVan helps you travel by motorhome or campervan: checklists, your vehicle data, your on-board resources, a map with services and information layers, a route planner, safety alerts and an artificial intelligence copilot.
The app is not a navigation system and does not guide your driving. The map and the planner suggest and show information; to drive somewhere we open your navigation app, only when you ask.
The information is for guidance only. Much of it comes from public and collaborative sources (OpenStreetMap, the Spanish traffic authority DGT, the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, MET Norway, contributions from other users…) that may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. In particular:
- Maximum heights, widths and weights (clearances): they come from OpenStreetMap and we do not verify them. The app does not check that your vehicle fits. Always follow road signs and the instructions of traffic officers.
- Regulations: legal notices we mark as reviewed show their official source and date. Everything else is general information. Local by-laws change often: check them on site.
- Prices, opening hours and services of areas, campsites and filling stations may change without notice.
- We never promise free spaces anywhere.
4. The copilot is an artificial intelligence
The copilot is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. It generates answers with third-party models from your question and the context the app sends. It can make mistakes or make things up, especially about regulations, distances or road conditions. Its answers are not legal, technical, mechanical or medical advice. Always check what matters; it never replaces road signs or the instructions of traffic officers.
If an answer seems dangerous, offensive or false, use “Report answer”. Do not use the copilot to obtain illegal content or to try to get around its limits.
Copilot use has a limit that depends on your plan and resets in time windows. You can see it in Settings → AI.
5. While you drive
Do not handle your phone while driving. Use your voice or ask a passenger. The app’s alerts are an aid and can fail (no GPS, no battery, incomplete data); you remain responsible for driving.
6. Free, Pro and Max plans
Free includes everything that keeps you safe on the road, without limits, and the other features with usage quotas. Pro and Max are paid subscriptions that remove those quotas and extend copilot use; Max extends it more than Pro. What each plan includes at any time is shown on the plans screen in the app.
- Purchase and price. You subscribe in the app through Google Play (or Apple’s App Store), which charges your store account. The price, including taxes, is the one the store shows before you pay.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the current price, unless you cancel it before the period ends in your store’s subscription settings. If you cancel, you keep the plan until the end of the period already paid.
- Price changes. If the price changes, the store will tell you before charging it and you can cancel.
- Right of withdrawal. As a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from purchase to withdraw without giving a reason. You can ask through Google Play (or Apple) or by writing to [email protected] with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. When you subscribe you ask for the service to start immediately; so if you withdraw, you are refunded what you paid minus the proportional part of the service already provided.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it in your store.
- Quotas. The figures of the Free quotas may change; we will never limit what keeps you safe on the road or what you have already saved.
7. Content you publish
7.1 What it is. You can publish reviews, ratings, photos, notices about places and overnight areas and suggested changes (“Content”). Approved Content is shown to everyone with your public alias, never with your name, email or location. Only people aged 18 or over can publish.
7.2 What you guarantee. That the Content is yours or you have the right to publish it, that it describes a real experience and that it follows the posting rules. Photos must be taken by you.
7.3 Posting rules. Not allowed: insults, harassment, threats or discrimination; other people’s personal data (names, phone numbers, number plates) or photos with recognisable people; advertising, commercial links or reviews in exchange for something; fake reviews or reviews of a place you have not visited; illegal content or content that encourages breaking traffic, overnight parking or protected area rules.
7.4 Licence. You remain the owner of your Content. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for as long as it is published, to host, reproduce, technically adapt (for example, resize a photo or translate a review on your device) and display it in the app and our services. We will not sell it or give it to third parties for their own use.
7.5 How we moderate.
- Photos are reviewed before they are published. The app first removes their metadata, including location.
- Reviews are published immediately. They go through an automatic filter of banned terms and are provisionally hidden if three different users report them, until a person reviews them. The final decision is always taken by a person.
- Notices and suggested changes do not change anything on their own: we review them by hand.
- We do not check that the author of a review has been to the place. We reduce the risk of fake reviews with the rules, reports and moderation.
- If we hide or remove your Content, we will tell you in the app, with the reason, whether the decision was automatic or made by a person, and how to ask us to review it again by writing to [email protected].
7.6 Reporting. Anyone, whether a user or not, can report Content they believe is illegal or breaks these rules from the app (“Report”) or by email, saying which Content it is and why. We review reports diligently and tell the person who reported what we decided.
7.7 Blocking. You can stop seeing an author’s reviews with “Block”. The author is not told.
7.8 Removing your Content. You can edit or delete your reviews at any time. Deleting your account deletes your reviews, photos, notices, lists and favourites. Star ratings and area reports are anonymised instead of deleted (see the privacy policy).
7.9 Breaches. We may remove Content that is illegal or breaks these terms. If you repeatedly publish manifestly illegal Content or Content that breaks the rules, we may suspend your ability to publish for a reasonable time, after warning you. If we find Content that suggests a criminal offence threatening people’s life or safety, we will report it to the authorities.
7.10 Responsibility. Content reflects the opinion of whoever publishes it, not ours.
8. Third-party links and services
The app links to third-party websites and apps (navigation, campsite websites, shops). Some links are affiliate links: they are marked “Affiliate link” with the advertiser’s name and, if you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Whatever you buy there is with that third party and under its terms.
9. What is not allowed
You may not: use the app for illegal purposes; copy its data or maps on a large scale, or access them with automated programs; create several accounts to get around the quotas; interfere with the service or its security; or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its design, its texts and its brand belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Third-party data and images are used under their licences, listed in “Image credits” (for example, © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the ODbL). Trade mark logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the establishment; they do not imply any relationship with TarsisVan.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the app running well, but it may have errors or interruptions, and some features need a connection or third-party services. We may improve, change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something essential from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel.
12. Liability
We are liable for the damage we cause by breaching these terms, as provided by law. We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our fault, or any liability that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
Apart from those cases, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for: errors in third-party or user information that the app shows as such (section 3); decisions you take without checking what matters, in particular driving through a place without following road signs; or interruptions caused by third parties (stores, internet or data providers) or by causes beyond our control.
13. Closing and suspending accounts
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings or at tarsisvan.com/en/delete-account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms or the law, warning you first with the reason unless the law prevents it or there is a risk to other people.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change them in a relevant way, we will tell you in the app and you will need to accept them again to keep using it. If you do not agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription.
15. Privacy
How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy (tarsisvan.com/en/privacy), which is part of the information we give you when you accept.
16. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence if you are a consumer in the European Union. If you have a complaint, write to us first at [email protected]: we will answer as soon as possible and within one month at the latest. We do not take part in any alternative dispute resolution scheme. As a consumer, you can go to the courts of your place of residence.
